How is softball organized?

 

 

Tee Ball  - Primarily Kindergartners.* Players hit a squishy soft baseball off a Tee. Everyone bats and plays in the field. Typically one practice during the week and one game on the weekend.


T Shirt Primarily First Graders.* 10" soft core softball. Pitching by Parents is introduced but not mandatory. Typically one practice during the week and one game on the weekend.


Rookie Primarily Second Graders.* Parents Pitch and kids catch. Soft/Youth size Softball is used. Teams start to keep score but there are no formal standings. Typically preseason practice only then two games per week.


Pony Primarily Third Graders.* Parents Pitch and kids catch, with kid pitch introduced later in the season. Soft/Youth size Softball is used. Teams start to keep score but there are no formal standings. Typically preseason practice only then two games per week.

 

Minors Primarily Fourth and Fifth Graders.* Kids Pitch using Hard/Youth Size softball. Real Paid Umpires call balls and strikes. There are standings and playoffs. Typically preseason practice only then two games per week

 

Majors Little League ages 12, 11 and 10 which could include girls in grades 5 to 7.* Kids pitch using regulation softball. Real Paid Umpires call balls and strikes There are standings and playoffs. Typically preseason practice only then two games per week.


Seniors Ages range from 7-11 Graders.* Regulation softball is used. Real Paid Umpires call balls and strikes. There are standings and playoffs. Typically preseason practice only then two games per week.
